Significant Beings is a community zine by and for Asian Portlanders.

It’s a snapshot of how we live and the vibrant spectrum of our cultures.

This printed zine is an expansion of bi:cultural, 2016’s collection of stories about navigating identity and belonging as immigrants.

A new intention for the upcoming collection is to display a more diverse representation of our collective experiences, like stories from second generations and intersectionality of identities.

Another intention is to represent the perspectives of Asian communities beyond the East and Southeast regions.
